Le Réacteur
C’est l’espace central de l’ancien club échangiste. Un atrium intérieur, paysage vertical de deux étages, somme de toutes les fonctions du bâtiment au fil du temps et de tous les décors qui ont été intégrés à l’époque du club. Il y a une entrée propre, avec un desk d’accueil. Puis directement au rez-de-chaussée, on trouve le bar, une petite scène (avec barre de pole-dance), des toilettes et une piscine (vide). La zone au rez de chaussée est utilisée pour des événements publics ponctuels (performances, projections de films, conférences, débats, présentation de projets culturels, etc…) et pour des micro-résidences (en amont de certains événements). Au sous-sol, il y a un studio audio pour enregistrer des podcasts et des voix off. Dans les étages se trouve «Shared Atelier Partagé», il s’agit d’espaces de travail abordables pour les artistes membres de la communauté Hectolitre.
This is the central space of the former swingers’ club: an interior atrium, a two-storey vertical landscape, the sum of all the building’s functions over time and of every décor built in during the club era. It has its own entrance with a reception desk. On the ground floor you find the bar, a small stage (with a pole), toilets and an empty swimming pool. This level is used for one-off public events (performances, film screenings, lectures, debates, presentations of cultural projects) and for micro-residencies ahead of certain events. In the basement, an audio studio is available for recording podcasts and voice-overs. Upstairs is the “Shared Atelier Partagé”: affordable workspaces for artists who are members of the Hectolitre community.
Dit is de centrale ruimte van de voormalige swingersclub: een binnenatrium, een verticaal landschap over twee verdiepingen, de som van alle functies van het gebouw door de tijd heen en van elk decor dat tijdens de clubperiode werd aangebracht. Het heeft een eigen ingang met een receptiebalie. Op de benedenverdieping vind je de bar, een klein podium (met paal), toiletten en een leeg zwembad. Deze verdieping wordt gebruikt voor eenmalige publieke evenementen (performances, filmvertoningen, lezingen, debatten, presentaties van culturele projecten) en voor microresidenties voorafgaand aan bepaalde evenementen. In de kelder is een audiostudio beschikbaar voor het opnemen van podcasts en voice-overs. Boven bevindt zich het “Shared Atelier Partagé”: betaalbare werkruimtes voor kunstenaars die lid zijn van de Hectolitre-gemeenschap.

Le Trait d’Union
Il s’agit d’un ancien petit magasin de 20m2 avec une vitrine qui donne directement sur la rue. C’est le “trait d’union” qui connecte la dynamique artistique à l’œuvre dans l’immeuble (artistes en résidences notamment) et le voisinage. On peut y organiser un atelier, une projection vidéo, une réunion de quartier, animer une discussion autour d’un thé, présenter une pratique ou une coutume, installer une petite expo, partager à manger, ou tout à la fois. On y collecte des histoires et on crée des mémoires, on partage des compétences et des connaissances.
A former 20 m² shop whose window opens directly onto the street. It is the “trait d’union” (hyphen) that connects the artistic dynamic at work in the building, artists in residence in particular, with the neighbourhood. You can host a workshop, a video screening or a neighbourhood meeting, lead a conversation over tea, present a practice or a custom, set up a small exhibition, share a meal, or all of it at once. Stories are collected and memories made; skills and knowledge are shared.
Een voormalige winkel van 20 m² met een raam dat rechtstreeks op straat uitkomt. Het is de “trait d’union” (koppelteken) die de artistieke dynamiek in het gebouw, in het bijzonder die van de residerende kunstenaars, verbindt met de buurt. Je kunt hier een workshop, een videovertoning of een buurtvergadering organiseren, een gesprek bij een kop thee voeren, een praktijk of een gewoonte presenteren, een kleine tentoonstelling opzetten, een maaltijd delen, of alles tegelijk. Er worden verhalen verzameld en herinneringen gemaakt; vaardigheden en kennis worden gedeeld.
